Museum Hotel

Museum Hotel Wellington is a 165 room boutique hotel located in the centre of Wellington city opposite Wellington's beautiful harbour and New Zealand's national museum, Te Papa. The spacious lobby features opulent décor, walls adorned with original New Zealand art and a bar/café in which to relax.
Hippopotamus, the hotel's award winning in-house restaurant offers harbour views and French style cuisine by Laurent Loudeac.

Cambridge Hotel
28 Cambridge Terrace
The Cambridge Hotel is a newly restored heritage building and offers central city accommodation at excellent rates, combined with elegant surroundings and first rate service. With 25 overnight rooms the hotel is a more personal Kiwi experience, and the bistro and bar play host to a colourful mix of travellers and Wellingtonians who prefer the familiarity and comfortable surroundings of a traditionally styled bar environment.
There are a variety of ensuite rooms, all of which provide Sky TV, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities and both telephone and internet access. Average approximate price per room - $110 - $140.
There is also backpacker accommodation with 52 dorm beds in total; ranging from 4 to 8 bedded dorms ($23 per person) – all of which are equipped with linen and a warm duvet. Rooms have gas and electric heating keeping the worst of winter at bay.
There is a fully equipped kitchen available for guests and a backpacker lounge with comfy couches and a plasma TV with Sky provides a genuinely relaxed atmosphere.
