‘Landscape10: The Power of Landscape’ is aimed at stimulating fresh thinking in dealing with contentious landscape issues. Speakers will explore the inherent tension between the extraordinary power that landscape exerts on us and our increasing ability to change and to reshape it at every scale.

Conference highlights:

High Density Oceanic RUD / LeSA Gallery art exhibition
An exhibition of works by local artists will feature, in particular, the work of Maori and Pacific artists.
Sheyne Tuffery, a contemporary Pacific artist and founder of the LeSA Gallery, is curating the exhibition for the conference, taking the conference theme into account. The exhibited artworks will include a range of media at a range of prices. The exhibition will be located in the Oceania Room at Te Papa where the conference morning teas and will be served. Purchases will be able to made via Eftpos.

The Conference will be of interest to planning and design professionals, resource and environmental policy and decision makers, community and private sector interests.

The Conference will start with an Opening Address on the evening of Thursday April 15th. The programme encompasses seven themed sessions over Friday April 16th and Saturday April 17th.

The NZILA Resene Pride of Place Landscape Award winners will be announced on Friday evening during the awards dinner.
